Antimicrobials
Disinfectants, sanitisers and industrial biocides. More registrants than any other category, and nearly half of all distributor labels on the register.
Active products only, each counted once, October 2026. See how we count.
What stands out
Antimicrobials are the most fragmented corner of the register. More than 650 companies hold active antimicrobial registrations, many with only a few products each. And much of what reaches customers is sold under a distributor's brand: about 17,800 active distributor labels rest on antimicrobial registrations.
The products are also among the most hazardous to handle. Two in three carry the Danger signal word, and antimicrobials account for nearly 40% of all Danger labels on the register.
Questions teams ask
- Which registrants hold the most active disinfectant products?
- Which distributors carry [competitor]'s products and also carry ours?
- Which products on [ingredient] have virucidal claims?
- Which antimicrobial registrations changed owner this year?
Teams use Dantive to map a fragmented market, follow which distributors carry whose products, and keep up with consolidation.
