The data was always public. The insight was not.

How a frustration with scattered, hard-to-read regulatory data turned into a way of reading the whole US pesticide market at once.

The data was never the problem.

The US EPA publishes an extraordinary amount of information about every registered pesticide, disinfectant and biocide. Tens of thousands of products, thousands of companies, every ingredient, pest, use site and signal word, and decades of earlier labels behind them.

Yet for anyone trying to use it, the experience was miserable. The information lived in separate systems, bulk files and PDF labels, many of them scans. Answering one simple strategic question, such as who competes with us on this chemistry and how their portfolios compare, meant days of spreadsheets and reading. By the time the answer was ready, the market had moved.

So we built what we wished existed. A way to bring the whole register together and keep it current every day. A way to read the labels, not just find them. The links that matter: every name an ingredient goes by, every distributor label traced back to its source, every change of owner. And finally the part that changes how people work: you can simply ask, in plain English, and keep asking.

What used to take a week now takes a question.

I have spent 25 years inside global chemical companies, in finance, commercial excellence, CRM and, most recently, enterprise AI. In the last few years regulatory scrutiny kept rising in the US and Europe, and data became one of the most valuable things a company owns. Yet almost everywhere I saw the same gap. The data was there, but teams could not reach it, or could not turn it into information, let alone insight.

Dantive closes that gap for the US EPA market. The whole register, readable in seconds, by the people who need it.

What we hold ourselves to

Show the source
Every answer points to the EPA records behind it, so an expert can check it.
Count what is real
Active products only, each counted once. No totals inflated with cancelled products or old label versions.
Say what we do not know
Where EPA's own record is incomplete, we tell you instead of filling the gap with guesses.
Keep your data out of it
Dantive runs on public records. We do not need your internal data to be useful.

The company
